Meet Our Team
Bonnie G. Mondragon
My name is Bonnie G. Mondragon, a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor and Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor who enjoys working with children, teenagers, and adults.
My experience began in 2001 as a Certified Special Education teacher for Alvin ISD. In 2008, I transitioned into a school counseling position servicing elementary schools in the same district where I remained until June 2018. During that time I was also able to provide individual and family services to those in need. In 2015, an opportunity presented itself to allow me to branch out into the private practice setting where I was able to work with all age groups in providing what was needed to guide individuals to success. With a variety of experiences as a teacher and counselor as well as from my own family, I am devoted to helping children, teenagers, and adults work through difficult situations. Additionally, I stay involved in my community through my church family by volunteering at different youth activities.
My primary goal is to guide individuals to gain the tools they need to be successful, whether it is at their schools, at the workplace, or at home. To do this, I work from an Adlerian theoretical framework. I utilize a variety of techniques to meet each individual’s needs. The techniques I use include cognitive behavioral techniques, play therapy, trauma interventions, psychoeducation, bibliotherapy, and traditional talk therapy.

Heather Benbrook
My name is Heather Benbrook and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. Counseling is my passion and has been a journey that I have been on for the past 12 years in education with the last 8 years as a school counselor in an elementary school. Throughout this time I have worked with many children and families through some of the most difficult times in their lives. Trauma and difficult times have been evident in our community through natural disasters, a pandemic and daily stressors. However, through working with families and children, resiliency, compassion and empathy are the foundation of seeing therapeutic change.
I focus on using play therapy strategies, child-centered, solution focused techniques, talk therapy and trauma-informed practices to give a voice to my clients. Many times it is difficult to be able to express emotions and work through them. Life is a journey and I am excited to help you through this time in your life.

Zoe Foster
My name is Zoe Foster, I am a Student clinical intern who has a strong passion for working with children but also enjoys helping teenagers and adults. Currently, I am pursuing a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Houston-Clear Lake. I am supervised by Bonnie Mondragon, LPC-S, and RPT-S.
I have experience working with children and extensive knowledge of play therapy. My passion stems from a social work background, where I began working in the foster care system first as a case manager, and then as a case manager supervisor. My experiences there led me to be a part of a crisis intervention team, where I also trained others in how to de-escalate children while also restoring the connection between parent and child. As a counselor, I utilize a client centered approach and child centered play therapy practices. I understand that not every problem has a cookie-cutter solution therefore my goal is to meet my clients where they are at and help them process through any challenges that arise.
I have been trained in Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), and use a trauma informed care approach in my practice. I not only understand how trauma can impact people’s lives, but also how resilient people can be when they are provided support, care, and safety. My goal as your counselor is to meet you where you are, come alongside you during difficult seasons in your life, and help process through your feelings and thoughts.
